Erinwood 2014

Page 1 | Page 2

For a weekend each year, we go to this private event and experience to the comradery and pagentry of medieval tournament battle. Each of us in our historic style pavilion ring the center field. Each fighter, and consort, have their own personal arms which designate their presence. Honor, comradery, and chivalry are the order of the day.

Each fighter approached the view stand and makes a speech of welcome. Then they draw number - even number to one field and odd to the other field. For the first day, aside from a couple melees - team on team fighting, they fight each member of their field. 3 bouts in a row - 2 points for a win, 1 point for injury, 1 point each if double kill. The viewing stand can also give points or take away points based on chivalrous actions. The fighter with the most points becomes the leader for day 2.

Day 2 (Page 2) is team against team. Each fighter fights 2 times - once to defend their field and once to hold their field. The weapons are matched and can be used only once on each field. The team with the most points is the victor and the team captain receives a coin in recognition.

In the evening we feast! Each person is given 2 chiv (chivalry) tokens to pass onto whom ever they feel is deserving.

Aldeberon - the host, welcomes us.

Will's welcome and thanks.
